Our story
The more I learn about you guys and what you've been through, the more I love this. Thank you for sharing your story on the website, and being transparent in your backgrounds and direction you're going in. It makes it easier to trust that you're going all the way. Really impressed. I shared the link with some of my design/materials friends at Meta and they love it.

Cheyyns birth is the result of many happenings since 2018 when I first visited Bangladesh to learn more about the true cost of fashion. Ever since things accelerated and looking back it feels like nothing happens without a reason.

The first idea was to start a fashion brand (of course!) and so I did. But I had a ton of issues at almost every step of the way. Little communication, lack of transparency, high inventory, high investments, expensive sampling, poor quality and of course design mistakes.

In the same year my wife and I founded our NGO dripbydrip. I learned everything about the fashion supply chain and started to dive deep into the industry.

I decided to speak with a friend of mine about the idea. First experiences with 3D fashion development shaped the mvp we had in mind. We decided to dig deeper and see where it leads us.

We completed our first closed beta and use the initial feedback to adjust our business model. Currently we are heading into our second closed beta and things are more exciting then ever.

Our closed beta phase was highly successful, with more than 70 users actively testing the tool. This stage yielded numerous valuable ideas and inspirations for our future direction. Interestingly, we discovered that our tool holds significant potential for B2B use cases, which we are currently in the process of exploring further.

My co-founder unexpectedly departed from the company without any prior notice. We had been working diligently since September 23 to onboard an enterprise client, but unfortunately, we were unsuccessful.
During this time, we overlooked other customers, feedback, bug fixes, and updates. Once again, I am faced with the decision to start anew or contemplate giving up altogether.

Apparently, I didn't give up. I managed to find two new co-founders to whom I pitched the idea, and they agreed to join. Senior Developer Babak and SEO Guru David have both committed to joining the company and helping bootstrap Cheyyn.
Unfortunately, we've encountered a setback: we've had to rebuild the entire MVP/app from scratch, as most aspects didn't align with our new objectives.

In under 3 months, we've crafted our new Design Studio and sealed our first major partnership with Holy Supply from the UK. This positions us to launch directly to our target audience and gather essential feedback for further app refinement. Additionally, we've onboarded the first supplier to our direct manufacturing feature.
Lesson learned: Never give up! Circumstances can change in an instant.

In just 3 months, we leveled up big time. We can now upload 3D files directly into the app (admin only). Now using 2D patterns to precisely place designs on 3D. And we got our hands on Fabric.js for easy image editing.
This base sets us up to build the next gen design tool for the fashion and POD world. It may have taken longer than planned, but good things come to those who persist.

Remember Holy Supply? That partnership did not go as planned. We waited to finalize the deal on their end since March, completed it in April, but never reached the point of starting our collaboration. After waiting until September, I decided to terminate the agreement.
On a positive note, we have successfully launched the closed beta of Cheyyn's Design Studio. Moving forward, our focus will be on gathering user feedback, making improvements, and enhancing our marketing efforts.

After 8 months of effort, we've chosen to launch on Product Hunt. Our objective isn't rapid wealth; rather, we seek diverse feedback from various customer segments and to introduce ourselves to the world.
